Advanced Manufacturing Engineer
Rate: $50/hr with some flexibility
Dubuque, IA- 5 days/week onsite
Duration: 12-18 months, potential Contract For Hire

Project: Quality Systems & Gauge Design
- 100% dedicated to new quality systems—a key focus is new gauge design to replace existing floor systems.
- Highly desirable: Experience in gauge design.
- Responsibilities:
- Work with print and process requirements to build gauges that verify key specifications.
- Analyze and distill results from measurement systems.
- Develop SPC stations, integrating systems with measuring processes.
- Collaborate with experts in measurement systems to document the process for the shop floor.

As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, you will be part of a high-performance team working to build the Door manufacturing processes of the future. You will guide efforts to redesign current manufacturing methods, retrofit existing equipment, assist in the specification of new equipment, and create custom quality gage designs. You will partner with all levels of our organization to deliver state-of-the-art solutions that meet our quality, productivity, maintenance, safety, and ergonomic goals. You will be a key contributor in our mission to become a world class customer experience company through our products and services.
Minimum qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree
· 5 years of related mechanical design experience
· 2 years of experience with 3D CAD modeling
· Experience with dimensional engineering and tolerance analysis
Preferred qualifications:
· Experienced with communicating concepts through line sketching and rendering techniques
· Design for Manufacturing Experience
· Familiar with Process FMEA analyses
· Skilled in the creation of quality systems and gage system design
· Familiar with work instructions and process documents
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Quick learner with a high level of ambition and drive
· Strong people skills, able to work in a highly collaborative team environment
· Hands-on practical manufacturing experience
