Role: Technical Product Owner
Rate: $50.23 - $70.89/hour W2 depending on skills and qualifications
Location: Hybrid to MN
Technical Product Owner responsible for the development and implementation of QPM (Quick Price Module). This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and a deep understanding of user needs.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in product management
- 5 years of experience in project management
- CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) Domain Expertise
- Ability to independently analyze product usage data and translate insights into actionable decisions; proficiency in tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or SQL to build dashboards and support data-driven product strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree
Preferred:
- Nice-to-have- experience with auto-quote-to-order applications

- Problem-Solving: Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to understand and resolve issues effectively.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. Ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in product management tools and methodologies; Strong understanding of software development processes and technologies. Experience with auto quote-to-order applications is a plus.
- User-Centric Approach: Ability to understand and prioritize user needs and feedback; demonstrated ability to conduct user research and data analysis.
- Delivering and measuring success: Experience in developing and executing OKRs; understanding of key performance metrics; proven experience in project management, including planning, execution, and delivery of projects.
- Stakeholder Management: Experience in managing relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prioritization: Manage facility and product onboarding schedules.
- Requirements Gathering and Refinement: Assist in gathering and documenting requirements.
- Roadmap Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive product roadmaps that outline key milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
- Stakeholder Updates: Keep stakeholders informed on key project milestones, delays, enhancements, bug fixes, etc.; gather feedback, manage expectations, and ensure alignment throughout the product lifecycle
- Internal Product Marketing - Business Presentations and App Demos: Prepare and deliver business presentations and application demonstrations.
- Operational Readiness: Ensure that all aspects of product development are prepared for successful launch and operations teams for smooth launch.
- Training: Train business champions on the application.
- Operational Feedback Loop / Voice of User: Serve as a point of contact for user support; ensure bugs, enhancements, and user feedback are documented, prioritized, and translated to developers.
- Support New Team Member Onboarding: Conduct limited administrative onboarding activities as needed (e.g., administer checklist, help bring team members up to speed on QPM)
- Collaboration Management: Manage collaboration with the Horizon CPQ team.
