Nursing Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Adult day Nurse to manage our day-to-day operations while establishing and sustaining a positive environment for clients and staff. The Nurse will be responsible for providing health care needs to our clients. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate client records, administering medication or assisting with self-administration of medication, creating and updating care plans and nursing assessments, and monthly progress notes. The Nurse reports directly to the Center Director, they work will closely together to provide the highest quality of care to the clients. The Nurse will report any symptoms or changes in the client condition to caregivers and should display a friendly demeanor and strive to create a supportive and encouraging environment. Qualifications

  • The Nurse must possess a valid, current license as a RN or LPN in Delaware.
  • Two years of supervisory experience (full-time or equivalent) in social or healthcare setting.
  • Skills in irrigations, catheterization, application of dressing, and supervision of special diets.
  • Prior experience working with persons with dementia or disabilities.
  • Able to work flexible hours.
  • Ability to build and lead a high-performance effective team that constantly accomplishes or surpasses defined goals and objectives.
  • Effective comprehension of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook and an ability to navigate various operating systems including but not limited to payroll and Carecenta.
  • Strong collaborative, interpersonal, organization and multitasking skills.
  • Successful results of background check and any additional state specific regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop affective care plans for clients through coordination with caregivers, families, social service agencies, and medical professionals.
  • Provide supervision and assistance in activities of daily living, such as feeding and toileting
  • Maintain accurate, complete health care records and reports, including emergency binder.
  • Administer and record medications to clients according to a physician’s orders, in accordance with the rules and regulations related to the law regulating the practice of nursing in Delaware.
  • Objective observation of changes in client’s condition as a means of determining required nursing care, and the need for further medical diagnosis and treatment.
  • Maintain the inventory of nursing equipment and supplies and report needed equipment and supplies to center director.
  • Ensure the highest quality care is provided to clients in accordance with company, state, and regulatory guidelines and standards.
  • Oversee and supervise all areas of the employee experience including onboarding, daily oversight and guidance, scheduling, coaching and mentoring, staff meetings, continuing education, performance reviews and effective management of employee relation issues; establish and maintain a culture of respect, teamwork, compassion, fun, integrity and professionalism.
  • Comply with company policies procedures, safety and regulatory laws and standards.
  • Other duties and responsibilities can change or be assigned at any time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
