Position: Education Liaison
Location: California KY
Employment Status: Part-Time
Shift: 2nd - Hours can be 3pm -7pm or 2pm - 6pm
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Education Liaison to join our team. This position oversees and maintains established educational account, administrative, information systems and procedures. Provides individualized assistance to clients to develop positive communication and improved educational opportunities/outcomes.
Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age
Education:
- High school diploma or GED and a minimum four years in education or related filed experience or associate degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university and two years’ experience.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supports the clients with schoolwork by tutoring and making sure they have completed the required assignments from the school.
- Supports 6th-12TH grade youth and subject matters.
- Schedule school meetings to obtain information on student’s academic, social, and behavioral performance.
- Collaborates with school staff to identify and plan for supports, interventions, and services that meet the students’ needs.
- Attends team meetings when education is a priority for discussion.
- Models positive partnering with schools.
- Communication and collaboration with therapist, case managers, service providers and school staff.
- Monitors compliance with standard operating procedures at the program/facility level.
- Provides on-going training for educational and clinical staff members relating to school policies and procedures.
- Facilitates meetings with educational staff support to develop after school activities.
- Demonstrates appropriate use of Safe Crisis Management techniques and skills.
Knowledge and Abilities:
- Strong organizational skills and demonstrate attention to detail.
- Experience with the youth, be goal-oriented, organized, and analytical, and have the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written, oral, and communication skills.
- Superior active listening, observation, analytical, and problem recognition and solving skills. Exercise sound judgment.
- Strength of character, honesty, humor, and flexibility are necessary and important.
- Knowledge and skills in computer use.
