Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Transport Specialist to join our team. The Transport Specialist will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting clients to and from various locations, appointments, providing quality customer service and helping to set the tone for the level of care clients will receive. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional care.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Transport clients to and from various locations, including but not limited to, appointments, school, and outings.
• Determines best route to and from appointments prior to the departing time.
• Implements customer-service standards, resolves problems, and determines & completes clients transportation system improvements.
• Ensure clients safety during transport by following established protocols and procedures.
• Communicates effectively with clients, providers, and other team members.
• Maintains orderly records for credit card usage.
• Maintains and ensures vehicles are safe, clean, and performing well to ensure safe transportation at all times.
• Completes vehicle services as directed by Facilities and Maintenance Staff.
• Accurately completes and maintains vehicle logs and other necessary records and paperwork associated with the vehicles.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of transport equipment and work area.
• Adhere to all agency policies and procedures.
• Responsible for taking necessary paperwork for transport and turning in all paperwork provided at appointment.
• Maintains professional objectivity and self-discipline in conducting job responsibilities so that each resident?s needs remain the primary focus.
• Maintains familiarity with emergency and crisis intervention procedures and implements them in a calm and expedient manner.
• Enhances skills in childcare, through training, conferences, and in-service training sessions.
• Keeps accurate records and writes thorough and objective reports including, but not limited to, incident reports, and daily log entries.
• Must maintain HIPPA Compliance standards.
• Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Knowledge and Abilities:

• Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position.
• Ability to utilize various types of electronic, computer and/or manual recording and information systems used by the agency.
• Ability to successfully complete all mandatory annual training as required by the job title.
