We are seeking a dedicated QA and Infection Control Nurse to join our skilled nursing facility. This role will focus on overseeing quality assurance measures and infection control procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention and control programs.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with infection control standards and best practices.
- Monitor and report infection-related data to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Provide staff education and training on infection control protocols.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of infection control efforts.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of care.
Requirements:
- Current RN License (in good standing) in the state of Virginia.
- Access to NHSN or the ability to obtain access.
- IFC/IP Certification (Infection Prevention and Control certification) required.
- Strong knowledge of infection control guidelines, regulatory standards, and best practices in a skilled nursing environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Previous experience in QA, Infection Control, or related roles is a plus.
