YOUR DAY AS A PEDIATRIC SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST
As a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist, your day is a dynamic blend of engagement and impact. You drive to various settings-homes, parks, or daycares-where you work directly with children ages 0-3 and their families. Utilizing a parent-coaching model, you focus on enhancing speech, language, oral-motor, and feeding skills, empowering parents to support their child's progress. After documenting each session, you transition seamlessly to your next visit. Weekly team meetings foster collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, allowing you to share strategies in a family-centered and culturally diverse environment.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Experience working in early intervention
- Washington State Professional License
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
- Valid Washington driver's license, reliable transportation, a good driving record, and proof of current personal liability insurance
- Willingness to obtain a CPR/First Aid certification within the first 60 days of employment
- Willingness to obtain a Washington State Food Worker card within the first 60 days of employment
