Nationally Accredited Holly’s House Seeks a Director of Operations
The Director of Operations is a key leadership role for Holly’s House Client Services and supports the Executive Director through management of numerous tasks related to the daily operation of the agency with special attention to coordinating multi-disciplinary team functions, maintenance of the client services function of the facility, assisting with other special projects as assigned.
The Director of Operations acts as the responsible point of contact regarding multiple services for child victims and their families who are interviewed at Holly’s House in relation to an investigation of child abuse or those who have been witnesses to a violent crime. This position is involved in coordinating intervention services that have been recommended by the Multidisciplinary Team members, identifying any barriers that may prevent the family from receiving services, and coordinating prompt service implementation.
Holly’s House has been increasing the number and scope of services provided to victims, their families, and the community in recent years. This role will co-lead the next phase of growth of services in Vanderburgh and the other 7 counties we serve. We have carefully managed the organization’s budget and enjoy broad support for our work from a variety of funding sources.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires the ability to meet people with ease; provide friendly, courteous, positive, high quality client service; exceptional organizational, planning and multi-tasking skills; proficiency with computer database programs and Microsoft Office programs; strong time and deadline management skills; initiative; ability to work under the pressure of multiple priorities and deadlines; and strong people management skills. The position also requires the ability to maintain collaborative and confidential relationships.
In addition, the person in this position must have completed or be willing to complete Victim’s Advocacy and Child Forensic Interview training as recognized by the National Children’s Alliance. Additional training regarding trauma-informed care and diverse population training may also be required. Ongoing training to meet or exceed accreditation standards is required. All training will be supported by the organization.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Preferred: Master’s degree in healthcare administration, or a minimum of three years of leadership of an outcome-driven program with a social services, healthcare administration or forensic science degree. Training in a professionally recognized forensic interviewing protocol and experience working with a multidisciplinary team is highly valued, along with experience supervising professional staff.
Minimum: Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in human/social services or related field required and 2-5 years of working with victims of crime and/or children and families. Excellent interpersonal skills both in person and by phone, with a high level of professionalism. Ability to accomplish projects with little supervision. Refined customer service ethic with high expectations for quality and at least one year of experience managing professionals.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the facilitation of all client services for victims and families, including advocacy, forensic interviews and ancillary medical and mental health services in Holly’s House Evansville and satellite locations.
- Supervise the team of forensic interviewers and advocates meeting with children and their caregivers, providing coaching and leadership for staff development.
- Coordinate follow up services with DCS, law enforcement, prosecutor’s office and other authorities and service providers providing timely status updates.
- Oversee the coordination of services and sharing of appropriate information with families and victims throughout ongoing investigations of domestic or sexual violence including adult survivors of childhood abuse.
- Maintain and develop professional and collaborative relationships with partner agencies.
- Maintain current knowledge in the areas of the forensic interview process, victim advocacy, and trauma-informed care.
- Coordinate program evaluation, supervising the maintenance of records in the data system (NCATrak), providing monthly analysis for internal reporting and sharing with partners as appropriate.
- Remain current on NCA standards for accreditation and legal requirements. Communicate and ensure staff is trained on these matters.
