Holly Springs Parks and Recreation is seeking a reliable and proactive candidate to join the Hunt Center team as a Recreation Center Attendant. The Hunt Recreation Center, as Holly Springs’ largest recreation facility, operates 7 days a week to provide the community with a variety of programs and activities, access to the Hunt Fitness Center, and other passive recreation opportunities. Recreation Center Attendants will assist with custodial duties, equipment maintenance, and setup and breakdown of the facility. This position is part-time and will work weeknights and weekends, no more than 25 hours per week.
Responsibilities include:
• Assist with cleaning and sanitizing of public areas, restrooms, and offices. Perform regular trash removal and maintain cleanliness of floors and surfaces.
• Conduct routine checks and assist with minor repairs on facility equipment. Report major issues to the maintenance team or supervisor.
• Prepare rooms and spaces for scheduled events and activities. Set up furniture, audiovisual equipment, and other necessary items according to event specifications. Break down and clean up after events.
• Ensure that all safety protocols are followed, including proper handling of cleaning supplies and equipment. Report any hazards or safety concerns to the supervisor.
• Provide excellent service to patrons by addressing inquiries, registering customers for programs, making reservations and assisting with any facility-related issues.
• Other program support duties as assigned.
Hiring rate: $12-$14/hour
Experience:
Applicants must be 18 years or older. Previous custodial or maintenance experience preferred but not required.
Additional Requirements:
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid NC driver’s license and CPR/First Aid certification.
• Requires drug test and background check prior to employment which may include criminal check, education verification, and credit check.
