Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Accountant to join our finance team. The Accountant will work closely with other departments to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making.
Duties
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to verify the integrity of financial data.
- Write and interpret financial reports to provide clear insights into the organization’s financial performance.
- Utilize accounting software, including PeopleSoft, for efficient data management and reporting.
- Assist in corporate finance activities, including forecasting and budgeting processes.
- Collaborate with legal teams on wills, trusts, and estate law matters as needed.
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial records.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- Proven experience in corporate accounting or a similar role is preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software; experience with PeopleSoft is a plus.
- Strong skills in financial report writing and interpretation are essential.
- Familiarity with balance sheet reconciliation processes and corporate finance principles is desirable.
- Knowledge of wills, trusts, estate law is an advantage but not mandatory.
