What are the responsibilities and job description for the Culinary Team Member position at Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course?
We are always looking for talented individuals to join our culinary team at Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing and cooking food products to ensure our guests have an exceptional dining experience.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food products according to standard recipes for various venues, including Casual Dining, Sports Bar, Team Member Dining Room, Banquets, Outdoor Events, Racing concession, or Steakhouse.
- Prepare, plate, and present food products of various cooking methods to assist in reaching guest satisfaction, workforce strength, profitability, and compliance goals.
- Communicate station needs, waste, and discrepancies with the Sous Chef.
- As directed by the Sous Chef, prepare and present menu items according to recipe specification and presentation expectations.
- Assist in other areas of the kitchen as directed by the Sous Chef.
- Interact with guests and coworkers in a professional, courteous manner.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area at all times.
Requirements:
- Ability to walk 30% of the time and stand 70% of the time.
- Bending and lifting 10% of the time.
- Climbing up heights in excess of 10 feet.
- Lifting/moving maximum of 100 lbs.
- Ability to see 20/20, color, and/or peripherally.
