Qualifications
Job Summary:
The Distribution Center Cleaner will clean, sanitize, and maintain the distribution center within their assigned cleaning zone. Cleaners are responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and usable warehouse space.
DC Cleaner Key Job Responsibilities:
- Performs general cleaning and sanitizing tasks and services throughout assigned zones.
- Uses janitorial cart to transport cleaning supplies.
- Cleans and disinfects bathrooms.
- Cleans and disinfects breakrooms, walkway, docks, and ceilings.
- Wipes and dusts surfaces in distribution center and cleans various spills.
- Vacuums and cleans end caps within their assigned zones.
- Removes empty pallets, damaged pallets, and damaged product.
- Stocks towels, washcloths, toilet paper, and hand soap in bathrooms.
- Picks up and empties trash containers.
- Notifies maintenance if something is not working properly.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Prior experience in a Warehouse or Distribution Environment preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
- Ability to move around the warehouse.
- Physically able to bend, kneel, push, pull, reach, and twist multiple times a day.
- Physically able to work in both extreme hot and cold temperatures.
- Expected to communicate openly and respectfully with co-workers and supervisors.
- Expected to complete daily tasks within assigned “Zone” according to required training
- Expected to effectively operate individually or as a part of a team.
