Job Summary:
The Senior Manager, Construction & Real Estate is responsible for the strategic execution and oversight of Hollywood Feed’s real estate and construction portfolio, ensuring project tracking, and general construction coordination. This role plays a pivotal part in managing new store build-out growth, relocations, remodels, expansions, and leasehold improvements, working closely with internal teams and external partners to optimize Hollywood Feed’s real estate and construction landscape.
The Senior Manager, Construction & Real Estate will coordinate all phases of real estate transactions and construction projects, from site sourcing to store openings, ensuring seamless collaboration between real estate, construction, operations, vendors, and executive leadership. Additionally, this role requires proficiency in real estate and construction tracking software, project management platforms, and vendor coordination to drive process efficiency, resolve obstacles, and ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities:
Real Estate & Construction Project Management
- Manage and oversee the execution of new store development, relocations, expansions, and remodeling projects to support Hollywood Feed’s growth strategy.
- Partner with the construction teams to ensure effective communication and adherence to established budgets, and timeline goals for new and existing store projects.
- Collaborate with all appropriate stakeholders to track and manage all real estate transactions, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Maintain real estate and construction trackers, managing project status from site sourcing through store openings, remodels, and expansions.
- Track and report key real estate and construction metrics, ensuring deadlines and milestones are consistently met.
- Works closely with third party vendors and internal stakeholders for the maintenance needs of the Corporate and DC building as well as backup for the stores.
Stakeholder Engagement & Vendor Management
- Serve as a primary liaison between landlords, brokers, architects, contractors, municipalities, and third-party vendors, ensuring smooth execution of real estate and construction activities.
- Coordinate real estate package preparation for presentation to the Real Estate Committee, securing approvals for lease extensions, expansions, and other portfolio-related decisions.
- Work with the Operations Team to ensure new stores, relocations, and portfolio changes align with overall business goals and store lifecycle needs.
- Assist in cross-functional communication with leadership, field teams, merchandising, marketing, and distribution teams, ensuring seamless integration of real estate and construction projects.
Process Optimization & Compliance
- Implement and maintain best practices for real estate and construction project tracking, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and visibility across stakeholders.
- Identify and execute process improvements for managing real estate transactions, construction projects, and vendor relationships. This includes mitigating costs while ensuring optimal execution.
- Ensure compliance with lease agreements, permitting requirements, zoning laws, and construction regulations.
- Validate the quality of construction and adherence to design specifications, building codes, and blueprints for both new store constructions and remodeling projects.
- Uphold Hollywood Feed’s corporate values and ethical standards, maintaining transparency and integrity in all real estate and construction dealings.

Qualifications
Requirements & Qualifications:
Industry Expertise & Experience
- 7 years of experience in corporate retail or restaurant real estate and construction management.
- Strong working knowledge of real estate transactions, lease administration, construction project coordination, and permitting processes.
- Experience in vendor and contractor management, with the ability to negotiate and oversee agreements.
- Proficiency in real estate and construction tracking software, along with experience managing project timelines and budgets.
Leadership & Collaboration Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a corporate office environment, collaborating with teams and stakeholders across various departments.
- Proven experience in managing multiple priorities, handling tight deadlines, and driving strategic real estate and construction initiatives.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ensuring clear and consistent engagement with landlords, brokers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a collaborative team.
Technical & Analytical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for reporting, financial modeling, and project tracking.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess project risks, resolve obstacles, and drive efficient decision-making.
- Understanding of fiscal responsibility, budgeting, and cost management in real estate and construction operations.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field. Equivalent work experience in real estate and construction transactions will be considered.
