Qualifications

Job Summary:

The stocker will perform general stocking labor including moving freight, stock, and other materials. Handles duties pertaining to stocking, rotating, organizing, and maintaining products stored in the warehouse.

DC Stocker Key Job Responsibilities:

• Determines work assignments and material or equipment needs based on written work orders or oral instructions.
• Transports Freight, stock, and other materials by hand or using trucks to and from various locations.
• Sorts cargo before loading or unloading.
• Loads and unloads cargo using appropriate tools.
• Stacks cargo were directed using pallets or cargo boards.
• Transports tools and supplies from storage unit to work area and returns them after use.
• Uses daily production sheets or work tickets to record the number of units moved or managed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Will need to be familiar with using a RFID scanner, and the varying functions that are accompanied with stocking in the distribution center.

Education:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Prior experience in a Warehouse or Distribution Environment preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds at times.
• Ability to move around the warehouse.
• Must be able to perform physical activities that require body movement.
• Physically able to bend, kneel, push, pull, reach, and twist multiple times a day.
• Physically able to work in both extreme hot and cold temperatures.
• Expected to communicate openly and respectfully with co-workers and supervisors.
• Expected to complete daily tasks within assigned “Zone” according to required training
• Expected to effectively operate individually or as a part of a team.
