Qualifications
Job Summary:
Reports to the Store Setup Team Lead while on site as well as Store Development Coordinator on and off project. Reports to assigned Regional Manager between projects to fill in gaps in labor within their market or to assist with merchandising help. The Store Set-Up works with team members to stock and prepare new stores, expansions, and acquisitions for opening, as well as closing stores.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Checking in/Receiving Product Shipments.
- Design and execute creative displays including endcaps, treat and chew displays, food layout and organization, peg wall layout, etc.
- Perform tasks leading up to store merchandising including orders, answering contractor questions, overseeing fixture setup, etc.
- Communicate with vendors in order to ensure delivery deadlines are met as well as product requirements.
- Provide support to other stores in need during off-times as well as during staffing shortages and busy periods.
- Stock widespan shelves with food, liter, cans, etc.
- Design and execute creative displays for the pegboard sections such as toys, treats, collars, etc.
- Design and execute merchandising endcaps, front end displays, bone displays, etc.
- Assist with the creative process and utilize in-store experience to determine best sales positions.
- Assist team lead with IT setup.
- Post setup cleaning and pricing.
- Travel to and from projects if outside of territory.
- Maintain expenses and follow budget while traveling.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- An eye for product layout and design.
- Organization and cleanliness.
- Has creative feedback and knowledge of Hollywood Feed Products.
- Flexible scheduling and travel requirements.
- Must be open to positive criticism and feedback.
- Able to stay on track in order to meet strict deadlines.
- Able to work in a team setting but also alone while maintaining work ethic and meeting goals.
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn about our task organizational sheet (Smartsheet) as well as maintaining it as tasks are completed.
Education:
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Retail experience or in a related field preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Physically able to lift 40lbs repeatedly up to head height to stock shelves multiples times a day and unload delivery pallets.
- Physically able to continuously bend, kneel, push, pull, reach, and twist multiples times a day.
- Physically able to perform the job functions for up to 8-10 hours.
- Physically able to climb ladders multiple times a day to put up and access products for customers.
