Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly organized, and tech-savvy Operational Manager to join our team. With a fleet of over 12 grooming vans and a team of 25 professionals (and growing), this role requires exceptional communication skills, strong leadership, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities. A passion for animals, especially dogs, is essential to thrive in this position. Key Responsibilities:
- Fleet & Team Management: Oversee scheduling and route optimization for 12 grooming vans and a team of 25 (groomers, assistants, and managers). Ensure smooth daily operations and resolve scheduling conflicts.
- Customer Relations: Handle all customer communications, including scheduling appointments, addressing inquiries, and resolving complaints with professionalism. Your ability to communicate effectively is key to ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Maintenance Oversight: Ensure grooming vans are well-maintained, meeting safety and operational standards.
- Team Support: Serve as the central point of communication for the entire team, fostering a positive, supportive work environment and mediating team issues when needed. Clear and compassionate communication is crucial for maintaining team harmony.
- Operational Efficiency: Streamline operations, including fleet logistics, route management, and team scheduling.
- Tech & Tools: Use company-specific software for scheduling and fleet management (training provided). Leverage Microsoft Suite and Google Suite to enhance daily operations.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish): Required for effective team communication and customer interactions.
- Customer Service Expertise: Strong background in managing client concerns and delivering exceptional service. Excellent communication skills are essential for addressing customer needs effectively.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, and general technology.
- Problem Solver: Able to address operational issues quickly and efficiently.
- Familiarity with LA: Knowledge of LA’s neighborhoods, traffic patterns, and routes is vital to succeed in this role.
Preferred Experience
- Background in grooming services.
- Understanding car maintenance is a plus.
- A genuine passion for dogs and working with animals.
