What are the responsibilities and job description for the Glass Blower position at Hollywood Hot Glass?
We're looking to add a full-time Glass Blower to the team at our studio in Hollywood, Florida ASAP. A qualified candidate must be a team player, great communicator, and possess the following qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of professional glass-blowing experience and/or a 4-year degree
- Teaching experience
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to problem-solve independently and work as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Detail-oriented
- Outgoing, positive, and friendly personality
Duties
- Teach Hot Glass Class workshops, private lessons, and private events
- Assist with projects, custom orders, and production
- Daily and weekly cleaning and maintenance of the hot shop and cold shop
- Keep inventory of supplies and coordinate ordering when necessary
- Check Hollywood Hot Glass calendar and email daily
- Maintain excellent customer service and a professional attitude at all times
- Work closely with the Business Manager to ensure all aspects of the studio are running smoothly
- Use studio time to continually improve skill and knowledge of glass blowing techniques
- Assess and complete repairs in a timely manner
- Conduct yourself in a safe and workmanlike manner
- Uphold all Hollywood Hot Glass safety policies and procedures
- Arrive on time for each shift and all workshops
- Take responsibility for the overall quality of all HHG workshops
- Work as a team player to ensure efficient scheduling, creative thinking, and quality customer experience
