We're looking for a Director of Career Services to join our team!

WHAT WE DO

At Hollywood Institute of Beauty Careers, we train our students to become licensed professionals in Beauty, Health, & Wellness.

The Director of Career Services is to effectively train and inspire the Careers Services staff to ensure the success of our students and graduates as measured by the primary student outcomes – the licensing and placement of graduates. This job is to be committed to and responsible for balancing a high degree of quality with being accountable for specific measurable results. The Director of Career Services is responsible for ensuring the Careers Services advisors are following internal policies, federal and accreditation standards.

ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

  • Establish goals and objectives for the Career Services Advisors
  • Develop strategic and operational plans for the Career Services Department
  • Recognize problems within the Career Services department and aggressively seek creative solutions.
  • Develop and maintain reports to effectively measure the success rates of the Careers Services Advisors
  • Attend the Weekly Directors’ meeting and present the key performance indicators to senior management
  • Ensure proper documentation of student files to maintain compliance with State, Federal and Accreditation regulations
  • Plan and oversee periodic audits of the Careers Services Advisors to be sure the licensure and placement rates are accurate
  • Resolve student issues concerning placement and externship
  • Provide continuous assessment of the department and develop sustainable processes to improve efficiencies and drive continuous improvement in programs and services.
  • Ensure that Career Services advisors are creating an environment with learning opportunities for students to prepare them for job search, including holding classes on resume writing, interviewing, and job search skills
  • Oversee the timely collection and reporting of student and alumni employment outcomes and ensure that accurate data are submitted as required by state, accrediting, and federal agencies
  • Actively maintain an awareness of employment and industry trends and discuss research with Career Services and Education department as appropriate
  • Recommend areas of improvement to the Campus Directors as needed
  • Ensures 100% compliance with all US Department of Education, state and federal regulations
  • Complete other assigned duties, as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3 years experience in Career Services is required.
  • Customer-service orientation with a high sense of urgency.
  • Must be willing to roll-up their sleeves and do whatever it takes.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proactive problem solver.
  • Attention to details.
  • Ability to travel.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have demonstrable management and organizational skills.
  • Displays professionalism, problem solving, positive attitude and be customer focused.
  • Exhibits a strong regard for organizing and prioritizing, as well as an ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and customer service oriented.
  • Can function in a variety of situations and under pressure.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Salary : $70,000 - $75,000
