Job Description
The Holm Electric LV, LLC Estimator primarily performs take-offs to produce cost estimates. This position applies knowledge of electrical, estimating, and construction principles to perform the essential functions.
Essential Functions
- Create initial and final drawings for residential and commercial projects using AutoCAD, VISIO, Planswift, etc.
- Utilize knowledge of various components, engineering practices, mathematics and construction to complete design plans.
- Perform calculations to ensure adherence to established standards and NEC codes.
- Conduct research to identify component and material specifications, and select suppliers.
- Prepare quantitative takeoffs for projects based on plans.
- Prepares project estimates and proposals.
- Provides project specific technical information and guidance to technicians to ensure quality of ongoing projects.
- Assembles project documents.
- Keep current with the latest technical innovations.
