Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Operates a lift truck continually on shift. Must be able to be proficient in driving backwards and able to look in the direction of travel on a continual basis.
- Performs routine inspections of lift trucks and refers defects or repairs to supervisor/maintenance.
- Inspects condition of product verifying that it is free of damage or contamination.
- Moves and places product safely and securely in its proper storage location.
- Pick small package orders, build onto pallets, and apply shipping labels accurately.
- Removes and empties waste bins into proper receptacles.
- Moves controls to drive lift trucks and transport raw materials, finishing supplies or finished product to and from the warehouse, trailers or operating lines.
- Moves levers and controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts, lift beams and swivel-hooks, hoists, and elevating platforms, to load, unload, transport, and stack material.
- Positions lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, and boxes, and secure material or products for transport to designated areas.
- Manually loads or unloads materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, or lifting devices.
- Apply appropriate load securement to trailers, to include load bars, airbags, etc.
- Utilize RFT unit on lifts to accurately perform and track all product movements.
- Utilize WMS system to print DVS labels.
- Dekitting of product to be available for picking.
- Dispatch DVS orders once picked up by carrier.
- Communicate end of day status.
- Backups the DVS Supervisor in their required daily tasks in their absence as needed.
- Housekeeping of department/areas
- Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
- Performs all other duties as assigned or needed.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
- Experience: Two (2) years related experience in warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Computer Skills: Strong working knowledge of MS Office to include Excel and Word. Ability to master internal computer systems.
- Certificates & Licenses: Forklift Certification preferred. Must be able to complete Holman’s forklift certification program.
