What will you do?
- Assists with preparing a project plan, including an event budget.
- Coordinates with travel providers, including airline, ground and other transportation.
- Communicates with event stakeholders to provide updates on the progress of meeting and event plans, including post-event recaps.
- Assists with planning and coordinating meeting logistics including meeting rooms, guest arrivals, departures, equipment rentals and accommodations.
- Assists with selections of dining and entertainment venues.
- Travels to support events or meetings, as well as pre-event site exploration visits.
- Coordination with outside speakers, presenters and other entertainers that are contracted with Holman
- Liaises with staff at events to coordinate details.
- Reviews and approves event bills and related invoices. Works with the accounting team to ensure proper cost allocation.
- Evaluates the outcome of meetings events to determine if meeting goals were achieved and applies information to future events.
- Assist Partners in Excellence and HR in internal and recruiting event logistics and planning.
- Oversees related in-house functions such as catered meetings and training programs.
- Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or hospitality management or equivalent
- Certified Meeting Professions (CMP) credential preferred
- Meeting & Events planning experience preferred
- Strong detail orientation and exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task in a heavy volume environment, meet deadlines and maintain composure under pressure
- Ability to formulate and follow budgets, and negotiate and understand contracts
- Must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skill and strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent ability to negotiate with vendors, including pricing, terms, and conditions
