This position is primarily responsible for developing and implementing Holmatro US's end to end operational strategy and oversees all daily operations of the plant including, but not limited to : environmental, health, and safety (EHS), quality, operations, supply chain, facilities, and maintenance. They will establish key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to those functions. Maintaining communications with operations, supply chain, finance, sales and management teams as necessary to ensure customer satisfaction is essential. The position will also demonstrate, lead, and foster a continuous improvement environment from the shop floor to management level and create integrated processes to streamline operations.
This person is on the Holmatro North America Leadership Team and reports directly to the President, Holmatro North America.
This person will have direct reporting lines for : Operations, Quality, Supply Chain and Procurement, Forecasting and Master Scheduling.
Indirectly, this person will collaborate with counterparts in Holmatro Netherlands to ensure strategic and annual goals are met.
Essential Functions

- Responsible for overall EHS performance. Ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and regulatory policies and procedures.
- Cultivate a culture of trust, bias for action, and front line obsession. Embody and drive a continuous improvement culture leveraging lean and six sigma tools. Empower and enable front line to make decisions by making data and performance visible and owning daily gema process.
- Sets roles, responsibilities, and priorities across the machine shop, assembly, warehouse, quality, supply chain, purchasing, and forecasting teams to ensure proper action taken to achieve company goals.
- Owns the middle part of the P&L for manufacturing operations, including direct labor, indirect labor per functions of responsibility, material costs, and utility costs for Holmatro North America. Identifies, prioritizes, and implements opportunities for cost reduction across operations and supply chain.
- Collaborates with finance and engineering to ensure production standard costs accurately reflect labor hours, cycle times, material costs, machining and overhead cost allocations.
- Provides input into the annual global strategic planning process for operations and supply chain. Translates strategic plan into annual goals and objectives deployed across operations and supply chain. This includes developing businesses cases for operations CAPEX requirements and ensuring projects are executed on-time and on-budget, in conjunction with engineering.
- Reviews production and operating reports across the machine shop, assembly, warehouse, and quality departments to ensure performance to plan. Directs the resolution of operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs, maximum quality, and to prevent operational delays.
- Own inventory strategy with a "Plan for Every Part" to ensure safety stocks, minimum order quantities, and lead times are managed with internal and external suppliers and balanced against company cash goals. Hold suppliers accountable with a supplier scorecard to ensure consistent communication, quality and delivery performance, and cost optimization. Coordinates manufacturing activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of resources, machines, and equipment.
- Provides input to the development of product strategy and R&D of new and emerging products with a view of DFMA and FMEA methods.
- Accountable for ensuring Holmatro maintains ISO : 9001 certification requirements and procedures outlined in the Holmatro Quality Management System, modifying as necessary.
- Works in close cooperation with counterparts in The Netherlands, within guides for global company operations.
- Determines responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to accomplish business objectives.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment as well as on the plant floor. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee will be required to move about the plant floor interacting with employees.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8 : 30 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the "core" work hours of 9 : 00 a.m. to 4 : 00 p.m. In addition, this role will be on-call when plant operations are working overtime.
Travel
This position requires up to 5% travel.
