Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine client needs.
- Provide individual and family counseling, focusing on child family dynamics and crisis intervention.
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of clients, including those with PTSD.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for clients with disabilities.
- Facilitate psychotherapy sessions aimed at promoting mental health and emotional well-being.
- Advocate for clients' rights and access to necessary resources within the community.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in social work.
Experience
- Proven experience in child family counseling and working with children is preferred.
- Familiarity with systems related to mental health care and disability services is essential.
- Demonstrated ability in crisis intervention techniques and PTSD care is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of medical records management and HIPAA compliance is required.
- Experience in psychotherapy practices will be considered an asset.
