Inventory Specialist

Holmen Cheese has an exceptional opportunity to join our rapidly growing team. We are looking for a detail oriented individual to fill our Inventory Specialist role on 3rd shift. This 3rd shift role will receive an extra $1.50 shift differential.

Reporting directly to the Controller, the Inventory Specialist will be responsible for ensuring raw material inventory is accurate in the system. Working directly with the production and warehouse team, this role will provide discrepancy reports from physical inventory counts to system counts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for physical inventory counts
• Utilize the ERP system to run inventory reports
• Provide discrepancy reports to accounting for system adjustments
• Ensure a high degree of detail and quality in county
• Control and organize storage and inventory space
• Knowledgeable in system utilization to provide support to off shift users as needed
• Inspects trucks for appropriate sanitary conditions on all incoming and outgoing shipments. Fill out inbound/outbound inspection documentation
• Assist in other warehouse duties such as shipping and receiving and product movement
• HACCP team member
• Ensure security of warehouse (doors sealed, lights in working order, dock plates and levelers in good condition)
• Operate a stand-up forklift and stand-up reach truck

Physical Requirements:

• Sit Occasionally less than 30%; Stand & Walk greater than 70%
• Lift, bend, stoop, push/pull exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 40 pounds frequently
• Use of hands and fingers to operate, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms.
• There is exposure to a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electric current, and exposure to heat/cold temperature changes
• Operation of stand-up lift trucks and hand/foot controls
• Noise level in the plant varies but can reach moderate levels
