Job Description

We are seeking a Data Analyst with a strong background in employee benefits to join our Information Technology team in Dallas, TX. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Collaborating closely with Brokerage Services and PLUS leaders, you'll dive deep into understanding our business needs and identifying key analytics opportunities. Essential Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and manage data from diverse sources to ensure accuracy, consistency, and accessibility.
  • Handle comprehensive analysis of complex data systems to identify high-level trends, patterns, and insights that will aid in business decisions and modeling efforts.
  • Analyze automated reports and dashboards to document and monitor the team’s data environment.
  • Utilize various statistical tools and techniques to summarize data, ensuring all data is accurate and timely for analysis.
  • Establish data visualization tools to design and create charts, graphs, and other visual representations of data insights.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Healthcare, Finance, Risk Management or related field.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of relevant experience in employee benefits and data analysis. Experience in health insurance, employee benefits brokerage, data warehouse is preferred. Knowledge of reporting/analytical tools. Advanced Excel skills.
  • Skills: Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as SQL, dbt, Excel, and Python, along with experience in data visualization tools like Power BI. Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, with a thorough knowledge of relational database theory and practice. A commitment to data accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively are essential.
  • Technical Competencies: Strong understanding of both business needs and technology solutions, enabling them to make informed decisions and effectively deliver relevant processes and procedures. Demonstrate exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to identify opportunities or root causes, apply logical reasoning to analyze data, and develop and execute effective outcomes.
