During your Co-op experience, you will become a part of the R&D Innovation Team. A multidisciplinary team, intentional about exploring new technology opportunities and delivering novel solutions to challenging problems.
The R&D Innovation Team is responsible for defining and driving advanced technology programs, developing new-to-the world disruptive technologies, and elaborating novel value-added product and platform concepts from early ideas to launch.
We are looking for a Co-op to help develop innovative concepts into potential solutions for the next generation of breast cancer screening devices, which will involve concept exploration and iteration, rapid prototyping, and software programming. This opportunity has the potential to span multiple projects across the R&D Innovation portfolio, interfacing with multifunctional teams in an agile environment.
We're looking for bright, inquisitive problem solvers who strive to make a difference. Key qualifications include the following:
- Be enrolled in a bachelor’s or master's degree program and be eligible for a co-op through Drexel University
- Rising Junior or Senior majoring in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
- Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience in any coding language
- Familiarity with instrumentation, software development, engineering troubleshooting and experiment design
- Experience with python is a plus!
- Ability to work onsite in Newark, DE (Hologic does not provide relocation assistance or intern housing)
The hourly pay range for this role is $26 - $28 per hour. Compensation is determined by class standing and operational function.
