The R&D software engineering team is a group of highly talented individuals responsible for creating robust and reliable software's ranging from executing complex assays on diagnostic instruments to intricate cloud solutions. This team collaborates with many other teams and departments to develop the next generation of innovations in patient care.
Throughout the internship you will have the opportunity to participate in the following:
- Desktop application development for supporting internal tooling
- Cloud solutions development
- Web application development
We are looking for bright, inquisitive problem solver who strives to make a difference. Key qualifications include the following:
- Able to work full-time over the summer months (May/June - August/Sept)
- Able to work part-time over the following school year (approximately 20 hours a week)
- Ability to work on-site for the duration of their internship
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program and have at least one semester remaining to complete after the summer internship
- Rising Senior or Graduate student
- Majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering preferred
- Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.2/4.0 or higher
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work onsite at our San Diego, CA campus. Intern housing, relocation, and housing stipends are not provided
Technical qualifications include the following:
- .NET/C#, Java, C
- Object Oriented Design
- Microsoft Azure, AWS
The hourly pay range for this role is $22 - $35 per hour. Compensation is determined by class standing and operational function.
