Audio Visual Show Control Engineer
Primary Job Purpose:
As an Audio Visual Show Control Engineer you’ll be programming, commissioning, and bringing life to world-class solutions for themed entertainment projects. You’ll be helping to design and program projects that contain all elements of AV show control integration including show timing, HMI control, and integration with real-time systems.
As one of the most skilled members of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring that the related system attributes such as the network design are fit for purpose. You will also oversee the FAT, commissioning, and SAT process handover of the system and training client technicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing Audio Visual control systems for themed entertainment spaces for systems that include large-scale projection, Direct-view LED, and immersive audio systems
- Creating Wireframes, HMIs, and GUIs that meet client specs and meet the needs of the system we are creating
- Creating and programming show control systems including Alcorn McBride, Medialon and Q-Sys – integrating the systems with Ride Control Systems and Ride Show Networks
- Developing network architectures that meet the demands of the system, working with client networking specialists to do so
- Writing functional specifications on the control system to ensure that our propositions and RFP estimations to the client meet performance expectation
- Creating custom control code and modules for bleeding-edge AV equipment
- Working on-site to commission and integrate our systems into the attraction throughout the commissioning and test and adjust phase
- Training and handing over systems to technical services personnel and system owners
- Working across multiple time zones to ensure work is delivered in the most effective way, liaising across countries and cultures
- Build effective relationships with partners, suppliers, and clients that enable Holovis to leverage additional opportunities
Your Qualifications and Expertise
- Possess a strong technical understanding of controlling some or all of the following areas; large-scale projection, large format LED, immersive audio, and AV show control systems
- Hold a history of show control integration into successful Audio Visual projects
- Related engineering, electronics or programming degree or professional equivalent
- Solid understanding of programming products from one or more of the following manufactures; Alcorn McBride, Medialon and Q-Sys
- CTS, or CTS-D is preferred, but not essential

This is a full-time role based out of Orlando, Florida. You will need to have the right to live, work and drive in the USA. This role involves global travel. right to travel globally.
