Operations Manager
Location: Spartanburg, SC
Holroyd Precision Rotors is a world leader in the manufacture of helical screw rotors. As the Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency and on-time delivery of high-tolerance, helical form components.
Leading a team of approximately 28 operatives and overseeing a $7 million operation, you will be responsible for day-to-day manufacturing, driving productivity, and maintaining the highest quality standards. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be key to achieving production goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic plans to optimise manufacturing operations, improve productivity, and meet production targets.
Oversee inventory levels and implement effective stock management strategies.
Lead cross-functional teams (engineering, quality assurance, maintenance) to align priorities with production requirements.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, streamlining processes, and implementing best practices.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols.
Manage and develop a high-performing team, setting performance goals, providing coaching, and conducting evaluations.
Analyse production data, generate reports, and provide insights to senior management for process enhancements and cost reductions.
Stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements to drive innovation and maintain competitiveness.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in an Operations Manager or similar leadership role within a precision manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of multi-axis CNC machining (Milling, Turning, Grinding) and precision engineering processes.
Expertise in manufacturing software, ERP systems, and CAD/CAM tools.
Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels.
Results-driven mindset with a focus on meeting deadlines and achieving operational targets.
