We are seeking a Quality Inspector with extensive CMM programming experience and comprehensive inspection abilities.
Job Purpose :
As the CMM Quality Inspector you will validate the precision manufactured parts using the Coordinate Measuring Machine and traditional manual inspection methods and equipment.
You will work closely with production and engineering personnel and communicate inspection findings. The role includes completing quality documentation, inspection reports, first article inspections and PPAPs.
You will be influential in helping identify areas for process improvement and suggest corrective actions.
Responsibilities :
- Proficient in the use of manual inspection devices such as callipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges, fixtures, etc,
- Performs first article in-process and final inspection of machined components
- Complete inspection documentation, job process sheets, inspection sheets and first article inspection reports,
- Setup and operate CMM to perform inspections,
- Experience with CMM operation, programming would be advantageous (ideally Leitz CMM using Quindos),
- After training you will work independently, completing necessary checks to ensure continuous production,
- Work closely with operators to ensure tolerances and specification are achieved.

While performing the duties of this job, for a length of 8-10-hour shift, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, talk or hear. Hand and arm dexterity needed to handle inspection equipment and components.
The employee must occasionally balance, stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Able to work a shift pattern and be flexible to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift if required.
