Responsibilities
- Measure and cut flooring materials to fit designated areas accurately.
- Install various types of flooring, including tile, carpet, hardwood, and laminate.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine installation requirements.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools safely and effectively during installation processes.
- Perform caulking, fixture installation, and cabinet installation as needed.
- Ensure proper floor care and maintenance practices are followed post-installation.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure timely project completion.
- Conduct construction estimating to provide accurate material needs for projects.
Requirements
- Proven experience in flooring installation or related construction fields.
- Strong skills in tile laying, cabinet installation, and fixture installation.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively.
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools relevant to flooring tasks.
- Knowledge of caulking techniques and floor care practices is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality work.
