General Summary :
The Building Maintenance person performs general maintenance work to ensure HMG maintenance quality standards are achieved and maintained.
Main Responsibilities :
Completes minor repair work orders such as replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, patching vinyl, etc, to maintain all of HMG properties
Assists in checking electrical systems such as air conditioning controls, television sets, lighting systems and makes minor repairs / replacements
Assists in checking and makes minor repairs on general plumbing systems and fixtures such as pipe lines, toilets and sinks, and kitchen equipment
Responds quickly to work orders. Follows up to ensure requestor satisfaction
Performs weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual state and local inspection of Life Safety
Knowledge of NFPA, State and Local codes pertaining to Life Safety
Always provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dress
Follows company policies and procedures
Education / Experience / Knowledge :
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent
A minimum of two years experience to include working in building operation
General knowledge of machines and maintenance and repair using basic hand and power tools
Will be required to work in fast paced environment
Must display a high level of confidentiality
Must maintain an organized work area
Verbal and written communication skills are necessary
Must be able to work overtime and take after hour calls
