What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Administrator position at Holt Brothers Inc?
The Safety Administrator reports to and is responsible for assisting the Safety Coordinator and/or Safety Director with the daily EH&S management, supervision, coordination, and successful completion of the project(s) to meet environmental health and safety objectives with respect to contracting, scheduling, estimating, bidding, and contract administration functions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities and skills required of personnel so classified.
1. Daily Safety Dispatch:
- Create/maintain the Daily Safety Dispatch.
- Email through Outlook and Hammertech the dispatch.
2. Expenses:
- Process incoming Expenses and Per Diem. (EHS Team).
3. Fleet Blast:
- Create a Safety Fleet Blast (color coded) when an incident happens and add to the “working” file, then it gets emailed out.
4. Hammertech:
- Pull Observation Report from previous day and email.
- Track daily Pre-Task and Daily Report on tracking form.
- Fridays – Pull the Hammertech/Helix reports for all projects for the completed inspections for the week.
- Mondays: Adding the checklist to projects - inspection type for the weekly Field Focus Walks for each site from the Friday before.
5. Weekly Safety Newsletter:
- Request Mustang projects to send me their projects articles, photos, news, etc. to use the information to create the weekly Safety Newsletter that goes to the client.
6. Onboarding:
- After receiving the request to register someone for on-site orientation, the QR Code is sent for Hammertech’ s online enrollment.
- Check Hammertech/OneSource (if required) before approving them for orientation.
7. Safety Org Chart:
- Update/maintain the Safety Organizational Chart for each Mustang project including uploading and linking resumes and Roles and Responsibilities.
8. Superintendent Report:
- Create new Superintendent report weekly to be updated by the assigned personnel.
- Update All Hands topics, Focused Field Walk topics, Safety Metrics information, the Offsite Prefab page and weather page every Friday.
9. Yodeck:
- Update the current slide show for the field monitors with any current monthly focuses/happenings.
10. Risk Management Log:
- Track Sub Contractors Site Specific Manuals, HazComm, Fall Protection, SDS Programs.
GENERAL BACKGROUND AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Two-year associates or four-year degree in an accredited construction related curriculum (BSCE, BSCM, BSAE, etc.) or experience equivalent to a four-year degree.
- Minimum of one to three years of administrative experience.
- Demonstrate the ability to perform in these areas: financial reporting, client relationship, interpersonal skills, computer skills, safety/insurance, ability to communicate; both written and oral.
- Proficient with personal computer based scheduling software, and proficiency in current corporate software packages.
