Job Summary
The Senior Project Manager is a direct conduit to Project Executives of each business unit. Ensuring all assigned projects are managed properly and meeting Holt Standards is paramount to the success of every project. Some of the main responsibilities of this role are to plan/manage/build construction projects and oversee progress from beginning to end in a timely and cost-effective manner. The Sr. Project Manager will, assist with, and provide support for budgeting, buy-out, organization, implementation and scheduling diverse types of projects as well as delivery methodology. Additionally, the incumbent is expected to maintain and advance the Holt brand and reputation while ensuring all team members adherence to the Holt Core Values and established Policies and Procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion
- Review the project in-depth to ensure schedule deliverables are met.
- Review owners’ contract to ensure project execution in accordance with the agreement.
- Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses
- Review Project Financials regularly to evaluate progress and identify projected expenditures/exposures/profit.
- Execute all permit requirements for review by PX, as required
- Prepare and submit timely and accurate reporting to Holt Project Executive and corresponding departments as required.
- Evaluate Project Documentation and Reporting compliance frequently.
- Assist in the coordination and direction of construction workers.
- Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations. Ensure team is aware of, and adhering to, all Holt safety guidelines, procedures, and reporting requirements, both internal and external.
- Review the work progress regularly. Identify Delays in Client, Design Team and/or Subcontractor documentation affecting project progress and address, as required. Meet contractual conditions of performance.
- Analyze, manage, and plan effectively to mitigate risks. Escalate any issues that require higher involvement/approval which could negatively impact clients, projects, or project teams.
- Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
- Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
- Manage and deliver timely and complete close-out project documents, in all aspects. Ensure compliance and accuracy throughout the project.

Supervisory responsibilities
- 5-7 years of progressive supervisory experience
- Delegate tasks to project team with clear expectations of deliverables and timelines.
- Monitor progress of project team members to ensure the success of the project
- Address performance issues promptly and escalate as appropriate
- Manage and develop assigned staff toward maximum job performance and career potential
- Ensure that all team members have knowledge of, and access to, all Holt tools and templates for implementation in the project
- Conduct performance reviews timely, make recommendations and assist with development of succession planning
Qualifications
- BS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in construction management and/or project management.
- Solid working knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards
- Highly competent at reading, understanding, and interpreting contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules
- Advanced knowledge of all facets of construction management processes, means and methods
- Solid working knowledge of construction management software packages such as Microsoft Project, Primavera and/or Procore as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Excellent leadership and management skills
- Excellent time, organizational and project management skills
- Ability to plan and see the “big picture”. Detail oriented
- Competent in conflict resolution and crisis management
