This position is responsible for understanding and making sure the requirements of the project with respect to safety; schedule, quality control, and cost control are met.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for understanding and making sure the requirements of the project with respect to safety; schedule, quality control, and cost control are met.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop a familiarity and understanding of the requirements of the Owner/HOLT agreement for the project.
- Assist in the managing of all Labor on the project.
- Assist with implementation and continuous enforcement of Holt Construction Corp.s safety culture. Encourage safe work practices in the day-to-day operations on the project. Report job site hazards immediately for prompt resolution.
- Assist the Superintendent in the development, updating, modification (as required) and maintenance of the project schedule. This includes a master schedule, two-week look ahead schedule and any other applicable schedules.
- Prepare the daily construction reports in a thorough and timely manner.
- Understand and be familiar with the date by which all materials must arrive on the job and convey that information to the Superintendent for preparation of the contract items lists and shop drawing schedules.
- Attend the weekly foreman and superintendents meetings. Assist in maintaining the minutes of these meetings, and ensure they are recorded and distributed, as required.
- Attend weekly safety meetings, regular toolbox talks, and safety pre-task meetings as required.
- Understand and ensure risk controls are properly established and maintained.
- Escalate any issues that require further attention for prompt resolution.
- Under the guidance of the Superintendent, follow the Holt SOP to update document control and ensure work is being installed in accordance with the latest design documentation and approved shop drawings.
- Communicate any issues requiring additional information from designers in a timely fashion to the project manager for issuance of RFIs. Provide accurate information such as contract reference numbers, photos, and mark ups as required.
- Create photo journal of existing conditions. Start with photos before any work begins for the space and all areas to be traveled or utilized during project.
- Assure monthly job progress photographs are taken in ample quantity to accurately depict the progress of the work. All pictures must reference the contract/project for easy access.
- 3-4 years of experience as a Foreman or equivalent in the construction industry
- Working knowledge of job site safety, planning, scheduling, and trade
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel). Construction management software packages such as Procore, Buildspace, preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read drawings and specifications
- Exhibits strong leadership qualities
- Exhibits decision making/problem solving skills
- Functions effectively as part of a team
