Job Summary: This position is responsible for mid-level accounting processes, reporting, and accurate record keeping in assigned areas for a Family Office. The Family Office currently houses 26 financial entities, including limited partnerships, foundations, & trusts.
This is a mid-level position and generally has more than three years of experience and/or demonstrated job relevant knowledge/skills. Has moderate knowledge of the field’s standard and technical concepts, practices, and procedures. Performs a variety of standard, complex, and technical tasks; is indirectly supervised and self-starting.
The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices daily: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.

- Maintains accounting ledgers; preparing cash transaction entries for deposits and accounts payable for monthly bank reconciliations.
- Manages wire/ACH transfers and online banking for bill payment according to operating entity and/or family member needs.
- Prepares monthly financial statements, internal financial reports, and complete special projects as assigned by Finance Managers and Leadership.
- Adheres to all Company deadlines and reporting requirements as set by leadership.
- Investigates and resolves balance sheet reconciling items on a timely basis.
- Works with operating company/third party accounting teams.
- Provides accounting assistance responding to financial questions/concerns to meet business needs.
- Assists with identifying risk by evaluating compliance and makes appropriate recommendations where necessary.
- Works safely at all times, and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Performs clerical tasks as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Comprehensive knowledge of business accounting principles, budget preparation, and strong business acumen.
- Preferred exposure to real estate or lease accounting.
- Preferred exposure to family offices.
- Proficient in the use of computer programs and systems utilized by the company (Allvue, Power BI, Microsoft Dynamics, Excel, etc.).
- Strong research, problem solving and investigation skills.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills including both written and oral.
- Ability to work in fast paced environment with frequent interruptions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to establish working relationships with corporate family office staff.
- Excellent organizational, planning, multi-tasking, and time management skills, deadline oriented.
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
- Three years of related work experience required; six years preferred.
- CPA license – preferred but not required, must be working toward or willing to obtain CPA license.

- This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, occasional movement inside the office to access office machinery, file cabinets, etc.
- This role frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
- Occasionally moves materials or equipment weighing up to 15lbs.
- This job is generally performed in a professional office environment.
- Frequently works at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions.
