POSITION: ENROLLMENT SPECIALIST – CURRICULUM OFFICE

CLASSIFICIATION – 12 MONTH POSITION
ABOUT OUR DISTRICT:
Holt Public Schools is located in the Lansing metropolitan region. It is primarily located in Ingham County with portions in Eaton County. We provide educational programs from Early Childhood through and beyond 12th grade including access to Early College programming and Career and Technical Education. Our current enrollment totals approximately 4,800 students. Our student body is approximately 45% persons of color with significant ethnic diversity and representation from historically marginalized groups. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proficiency in word processing, bookkeeping, and general computer skills.
- Familiarity with relevant software packages (e.g., PowerSchool, Skyward).
- Ability to meet pre-employment requirements and criteria.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Minimum of one year of general office experience, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping abilities.
- Effective collaboration skills and the ability to work well with staff members.
- Strong multitasking skills with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Patience, empathy, and compassion when working with students and staff.
- Ability to exercise sound judgement when handling sensitive student information.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage time and tasks independently.
- Problem-solving skills with minimal supervision or guidance.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience organizing and implementing public events
- At least one year of customer service experience.
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with PowerSchool SIS and/or PowerSchool Enrollment is a plus.
- Experience with multiple communication platforms, including websites, social media, and communication design.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist parents and guardians with Pre-Kindergarten enrollment in the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP).
- Partner with the Ingham Intermediate School District to ensure all enrollment components are met and families are supported.
- Assist parents and guardians with the K-12 enrollment process, verifying the quality of enrollment documentation prior to certifying enrollment for import into the Student Information System (SIS).
- Collaborate with the Pupil Account and SIS Technology team to ensure the enrollment process meets all pupil account requirements, integrates smoothly into the SIS, and is user-friendly for parents.
- Organize and coordinate at least two annual enrollment events per year.
- Assist the district Pupil Accountant with processes related to General Enrollment, In-District Choices, and School of Choice.
- Supports families and building staff in ensuring a smooth onboarding process. Provide assistance with transportation, childcare, and food service as needed for newly enrolled families.
- Meet periodically with school secretaries to address pressure points and ensure enrollment and onboarding is efficient and family-centered.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
