HOLT Truck Centers in Houston is looking for a full-time Phone Room Parts Sales Representative. An integral and vital part of the customer service experience is the manner in which parts personnel interact with our customers. This position is crucial to achieving the highest customer satisfaction by performing his / her duties in accordance with current OEM practices and our company’s procedures.

Accountability:
- Assists parts customers in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner. Informs customers of related part requirements and specials
- Answers customer questions, providing price quotes and other pertinent parts information
- Provides high level of service to both internal and external customers
- Pulls and fills orders from stock. Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention
- Locates out-of-stock parts from outside source and submits an emergency order, if necessary
- Notifies the customer when special ordered parts have been received and follows up on back-ordered parts
- Makes outbound phone calls on dealership's behalf to solicit additional parts business
- Records lost sales within DMS system per department guidelines and follows up on open quotes in order to drive additional potential parts sales
- Makes sure all requests for parts are billed correctly, as well as keeps orderly records of all invoices, insurance estimates, and special-order parts
- Assists in setting up orders for delivery or pick-up
- Other duties and responsibilities as requested by parts manager (i.e. inventory cycle counts)
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma / GED
- 2 years of experience in heavy duty truck / heavy equipment parts sales role
- Possess a current and valid driver license with a driving record that meets the insurability guidelines set forth by the company's insurance carrier
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment while providing a superior customer service experience and excellent phone etiquette skills are essential
- Must be neat in appearance, punctual, and a team player
- Ability to proficiently navigate through websites and look up parts
- Ability to lift 50lbs without assistance and move throughout warehouse to obtain parts
- Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must be able to adjust to multiple demands and shifting priorities and be responsive and flexible to best serve the issue at hand
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical
Preferred Qualifications:
- Good organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- DMS system experience highly preferred (CDK, Karmak, Procede)
- Proficiency with online parts catalog and ecommerce
- Knowledge of dealer and fleet maintenance procedures and systems
- Working knowledge of International and supplier/vendor warranty policies
