What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper - Full Time position at Holton Community Hospital?
Full-time position
Monday – Friday
5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Weekend rotation – every 6th weekend for 4 hours
This position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining designated areas of the hospital, Holton Family Medicine Clinics (Holton and Hoyt) to include clinical areas, public areas, hallways, waiting rooms, offices, restrooms, reception areas, patient rooms, exam rooms, and specialty areas. In addition to the hospital and clinic, also clean and maintain leased spaces within the medical office building as assigned and in accordance with safety and infection control standards, rules and regulations. Functions as a team member with peers, other employees and all departments to meet the individual needs of each customer/family. Maintains a customer friendly environment by treating all individuals with dignity, respect, and concern for their well-being. Is helpful and courteous to other staff members, patients, and visitors at all times. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent, preferred
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting, preferred
- The employee is regularly required to stand, talk, hear, use hands, reach, walk, bend, kneel, crouch/squat, twist, maintain balance, grasp. Must lift or move housekeeping supplies and equipment, furniture and other types of equipment. Must be able to climb on ladders and reach overhead for general cleaning duties. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
