Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure food safety and proper food handling practices are followed at all times.
- Assist with food preparation and ensure all food items are fresh and presented attractively.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions and handle cash accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including tables, counters, equipment, and restrooms throughout the shift.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Stay informed about menu offerings and promotions to effectively assist customers with their selections.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or café environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for patrons.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and food handling practices is highly desirable.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- A passion for coffee and willingness to learn about different brewing techniques is a plus.
