We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Barista to join our café team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee and customer service, with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages while ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining a clean workspace.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Operate cash registers and handle transactions efficiently, including processing payments and managing cash.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including cleaning equipment, tables, and workstations throughout the shift.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, supplies, and food items.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Follow food handling safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of customers.
Experience
- Previous experience in customer service or sales is preferred.
- Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques and knowledge of different coffee types is a plus.
- Basic math skills for handling cash register transactions accurately.
- Experience with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is advantageous.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor are essential for engaging with customers effectively.
- Food handling experience is beneficial but not required; training will be provided.

Pay: $16.41 - $17.27 per hour
