Responsibilities

• Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as needed.
• Help with catering events by preparing and organizing food items for service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces.
• Support chefs and cooks in food handling and food safety practices to ensure high-quality standards.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools.
• Follow recipes accurately to assist in food preparation tasks.
• Ensure proper storage of food items according to safety guidelines to minimize waste.

Skills

• Experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
• Basic culinary skills with the ability to use kitchen tools effectively, particularly knives.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation tasks.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a busy kitchen setting.
• Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to various kitchen roles as needed.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 45 per week
