We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Kitchen Supervisor to join our culinary team. This role requires a strong background in kitchen management and culinary arts, as well as excellent leadership skills to foster a positive working environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Manage inventory levels, ensuring that all ingredients and supplies are stocked appropriately.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques and best practices.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area.
- Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen.
- Assist in menu planning and development for fine dining experiences and banquet events.
- Oversee shift management to ensure smooth transitions between shifts and maintain productivity.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in kitchen management within the food industry, preferably in a fine dining or banquet setting.
- Strong culinary skills with a passion for food presentation and quality.
- Knowledge of inventory management practices to minimize waste and optimize resources.
- Experience in hospitality, with excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to lead a team effectively, fostering teamwork and collaboration among staff members.
- Familiarity with bartending practices is a plus but not required.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operations.
