- Full – Time (Rotating with every other weekend commitment)
- Location: Silver Spring, MD
- Food Services Department
- Reports to Food Service Supervisor, Patient Service Manager, Food Servicer Director
- Assembles, prepares, serves, and delivers trays, meals, and nourishments to patients, floors and other customers or clients.
- Attends to patient, nursing and/or other customer food service and related requests, needs or requirements in a friendly, cheerful, patient and customer-focused manner.
- Collects trays and other items for transport to Food Service.
- Assists in the sanitation of the entirety of the department including, but not limited to pots, dish room, trash, floors and special cleaning as assigned.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
What you will need:
- Must have or be pursuing high school diploma or equivalent four years of work-related experience.
- Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and courteously via telephone, in person or in writing.
- Ability to read, comprehend and write simple and moderately complex instructions, correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to speak and communicate in Spanish is desired.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic functions.
- Ability to use common sense in carrying out written and oral instructions and solving problems.
- Ability to use kitchen, trayline and warewashing equipment.
