Description :
As per job description for per diems.
Position Purpose
Assessing and monitoring wounds. Working collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to determine if additional treatments or changes in care are required. Educating patients and caretakers on wound care, infection and injury prevention, and pressure ulcer care.
What you will do :
Initiate a nursing assessment of patient's condition upon admission.
Assess and interpret reports communicating findings with the assigned physician.
Recognize and assess initial alterations in the patient s body systems and verbalize thisto other members of the health care team.
Organize assessment data for accuracy, completeness and confidentiality.
Record assessment data in an orderly fashion and communicate, revise and verbalizepertinent information to other health care team members.
Assess, stage, and measure wounds accurately and in accordance with policy. In collaboration with the physician and other health care members, revise the plan of care and continuously reassess and evaluate until desired outcome is obtained.
Minimum Qualifications :
Registered Nurse, graduate from an approved School of Nursing.
Current FL state RN licensure
Minimum of 2 years med-surg experience. Wound Care experience preferred.
