Position Overview:
The Operations Manager is responsible for support services provided within the Shelter Division. The departments/operational areas reporting to this position include the Community Kitchen, volunteer operations, training, community events, donations, others as assigned. This position works in partnership with the Division Director to ensure the highest possible outcomes for Homeless Participants.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervises Kitchen staff
- Supports new hire training and onboarding
- Supports shift scheduling
- Ensures accurate and timely submission of time sheets
- Supports Executive Director in building and managing volunteer for New Hope Community Center
- Supports the Executive Director in overseeing building billing and financial reports
- Monitors the kitchen, and other departments assigned
- Works with the Executive Director to coordinate Site tours
- Manages donations/organizing the reception and distribution of donated items
- Ensures site compliance (e.g. Monitoring for signage, distribution/available of materials, cleanliness, masks)
- Serves as site point-person for Participant Rights, Health and Safety and other committees as assigned
- Ensures all direct/indirect reports are following agency policies, site procedures, and treatment plans of clients
- Ensure direct and indirect personnel receive all necessary training
- Provides professional coaching, mentoring, and team development for direct and indirect personnel
- Conducts performance reviews for direct reports and ensures the performance review for indirect reports
- Provide 24-hour crisis on call availability to team on an as needed basis
- May be required to work shifts on an as needed basis.
- Performs other duties related to the essential duties of the position and within the individuals capabilities as assigned by ones supervisor.
- Manages Special Projects as assigned

- Bachelor's degree required. Degree in human services field preferred.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience
- Demonstrated experience managing complex organizational projects
- 5 years of relevant working experience
- Lived experience with issues related to Homelessness strongly preferred
- Meet State Good Moral Character guidelines.
- Valid and Current Drivers License with acceptable driving records.
