HUD Service Coordinator
Holy Family Senior Living, Inc. (HFSL) is a non-profit, faith-based organization providing senior living options to older adults. We are seeking an experienced HUD Service Coordinator for our Independent Living community to assist residents in our federally-assisted housing communities located in Lehigh, Northampton, Berks, Schuylkill and Carbon counties. Daily travel is required to one location. This position is grant funded through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
In this human services position, the main function of the HUD Service Coordinator is to improve the quality of life for residents by engaging them and assessing their needs. The Service Coordinator identifies and links residents to appropriate services, and monitors the delivery of those services in support of HFSL’s mission which is to provide the highest quality of physical, emotional, social, and spiritual care, with dignity and compassion, to meet the needs of the older adults we serve.
The HUD Service Coordinator works in collaboration with the Regional Property Managers by educating residents about programs and services that are available and how to use them. Strong organizational skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. The ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage work with little or no direct supervision and excellent time management skills are needed to be successful. We are seeking candidates who have high-energy and positive attitude! A valid PA Driver’s License is required.
Education and Experience:
- Degree in social work, counseling, or human services preferred. Alternatively, a degree or certification in business administration, compliance or related field will be considered.
- A minimum of (1) year of social work or related experience, preferably assisting elderly clients.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and other software is required. The equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the job with standard orientation/training will be considered.
