Maintenance Technician Bethlehem and Easton Area
Holy Family Senior Living, Inc. (HFSL) is a faith-based, non-profit provider of affordable housing and healthcare services for seniors. We are seeking a motivated and skilled Maintenance Technician at our two senior housing apartment buildings in Bethlehem and Easton, PA.
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintenance, janitorial and groundskeeping and must have strong customer service and communication skills.
As part of a team, this position may travel to other apartment buildings for special projects and when covering on-call rotation. This position requires an On-Call Rotation (2 weeks per month) which requires a response to emergency calls after regular business hours.
Primary Job Duties:
- Responsible for routine preventative maintenance, repairs, and completion of service requests/work orders.
- Turnover vacated apartments in preparation for new tenants including painting, maintenance, carpentry work, flooring, appliance repair/replacement, and cleaning.
- Performs housekeeping and janitorial tasks in public and common areas including mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, stripping, polishing/buffing, and waxing.
- Washes windows, blinds, walls, sidewalks, patios, and tiled surfaces.
- Clean and shampoo carpeted areas.
- Maintains maintenance shop and equipment.
- Seasonal grounds maintenance included mowing, trimming, planting, weeding, watering, and brush/leaf/trash collection, snow removal and other related duties.
- On-Call Emergency Rotation required 2 weeks per month.
Requirements:
- 3 years of property or community maintenance or related experience is required.
- Previous experience working in a senior community is a plus!
- Knowledge of general carpentry, electrical, HVAC and plumbing required.
- Must be reliable and able to problem-solve!
- Valid PA Drivers License required.
- The equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the job.
