What are the responsibilities and job description for the Athletic Trainer position at Holy Innocents' Episcopal School?
Holy Innocents Episcopal School (HIES) is seeking an Athletic Trainer. HIES is the largest Episcopal Parish day school in the country, offering a fully accredited college preparatory program for students age three through 12th grade. HIES is located north of downtown Atlanta between I-75 and GA 400.
Typical Duties
- Provide athletic training services for all home athletic events and practices as well as some travel events.
- Maintain accurate records of injuries, treatments, rehabs, physicals, and rosters of athletes.
- Act as a liaison between coaches, parents, school personnel, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide coaches with lists of student-athletes medically cleared to compete.
- Train and supervise athletic student aides as necessary.
Skills and Abilities
The successful candidate will have the following skills and abilities:
- Certification/good standing with the NATA is required.
- Experience in working with working with a variety of different sports.
- Excellent organization, presentation and communication skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Educational and Other Requirements
- Bachelors Degree (Masters preferred)
- Must be in possession of or able to obtain Georgia Athletic Training license before start date
- CPR/First aid certification
- Successful completion of pre-employment background screening, drug testing and safety training required.
