What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Athletic Trainer position at Holy Innocents' Episcopal School?
Holy Innocents Episcopal School (HIES) is seeking a Head Athletic Trainer. HIES is the largest Episcopal Parish day school in the country, offering a fully accredited college preparatory program for students age three through 12th grade. HIES is located north of downtown Atlanta between I-75 and GA 400.
This is a 12-month, full-time position.
Typical Duties
- Provide athletic training services for all home athletic events and practices as well as some travel events.
- Maintain accurate records of injuries, treatments, rehabs, physicals, and rosters of athletes.
- Act as a liaison between coaches, parents, school personnel, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide coaches with lists of student-athletes medically cleared to compete.
- Train and supervise athletic student aides as necessary.
Skills and Abilities
The successful candidate will have the following skills and abilities:
- Certification/good standing with the NATA is required.
- Experience in working with working with a variety of different sports.
- Excellent organization, presentation and communication skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Educational and Other Requirements
- Bachelors Degree (Masters preferred)
- Must be in possession of or able to obtain Georgia Athletic Training license before start date
- CPR/First aid certification
- Successful completion of pre-employment background screening, drug testing and safety training required.
